Vermont’s First Town

There is so much to do! Historic Old Bennington with the Old First Church, and its cemetery dating back to the pre-revolution with Robert Frosts grave. The Bennington Museum features a gallery devoted to the work of Grandma Moses. Browse through the antique and craft shops in the village. Tour the Green Mountain countryside with its quiet charm and many covered bridges. There are three in Bennington. The Vermont Country Store is one hour away.12 ski areas and many fine cross-country skiing trails within an hour’s drive. Bennington, Williamstown and Manchester all have their own live theaters with performances all year round. Tanglewood in the Berkshires, is the summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Philadelphia Orchestra, the New York City Opera and the New York City Ballet Company. Saratoga race track, The Clark museum and Mass Moca are all close by!
